Runaway June signs wit Quartz Hill

Wednesday, May 10, 2023 – Runaway June signed with Quartz Hill Records for label and Brown Sellers Brown Management for management, effective immediately.

The trio - Jennifer Wayne, Natalie Stovall and Stevie Woodware - also said their upcoming single, "Make Me Wanna Smoke," a country rocker, will be out May 19.

Runaway June had been on Broken Bow, which formed by Benny Brown, now managing partner of Brown Sellers Brown management.

"We cannot wait to start this new journey with Quartz Hill Records and the amazing team there," Runaway June said. "We couldn't ask for more passionate, talented, hardworking, true believers fighting for us. Benny Brown signed this band from the beginning, and to be together again is a dream come true. We are counting down the days until we can share the new music we are creating together with the world."

"It's so great to be working with Runaway June again," said Brown, Managing Partner, Brown Sellers Brown Management. "They're all so talented, and I've always been a big believer in them and their music. I think this is some of the best music they've ever done and can't wait for everyone to hear it."

On Wednesday, Runaway June appeared on the latest episode of The Bobby Bones Show, where "Make Me Wanna Smoke" exclusively premiered.

"This is a totally different vibe than what we've done in the past, and it's really exciting, very edgy, more rock elements," Runaway June exclusively told Bobby Bones, adding, "It has a really cool way of incorporating all of our styles into it. We're really excited about it."

"Make Me Wanna Smoke" was written by Jason Sellers, Ella Langley and Bobby Hamrick. Produced by Mickey Jack Cones as a stomp-and-shout anthem with addictive three-part harmonies and a rhythm section.

In late 2022, Runaway June released hear[rocker "Broken Hearts (Do Broken Things"). Formed in 2015, Runaway June had a hit with "Buy My Own Drinks." They released their full-length debut, "Blue Rose," in 2019. Wayne is the lone original remember as Naomi Cooke and Hannah Mulholland left the group.

CD review - When I Think About Christmas EP Runaway June put a lot of thought in how their five-song holiday project would sound. Yes, three of these five selections are already overly familiar tunes to most of us. Yet, you haven't heard them sung exactly like this before. The trio Runaway June put their vocal harmony skills to excellent use throughout this lovely little treat - its first with Natalie Stovall. Additionally, the music is real country, too. Opener, "Christmas on the Radio" celebrates popular holiday ...
CD review - Blue Roses Runaway June - Naomi Cooke, Hannah Mulholland and Jennifer Wayne - weave gorgeous harmonies around the lyrics of these songs on their new album, all but four of which they wrote with other writers. The trio have a way with their phrasing, getting inside the songs and making them their own. The beauty of the album lies in the singing, but we've all heard these songs about breakups, makeups, loss, and love before, and by the closing track, we're left with faded memories of beautiful voices. ...
CD review - Runaway June Finally, after two long years of hard work and positive buzz, Runaway June has dropped its debut self-titled EP. With hitmaker Dann Huff on board as producer and early tracks having received praise both in print and in concert. So, is it worth all the hype? In a word, yes. While Runaway June, comprised of Naomi Cooke (lead vocals, guitar), Hannah Mulholland (vocals; mandolin) and Jennifer Wayne (vocals; guitar), are fresh to the scene, they play together like a well-oiled machine. ...
