HARDY, Wilson win four ACMs awards; Stapleton named Entertainer of the Year

Thursday, May 11, 2023 – HARDY and Lainey Wilson won the most awards on Thursday at the Academy of Country Music Awards with four, but Chis Stapleton won the biggest - entertainer of the year.

HARDY had the most nominations and won Artist-Songwriter of the Year and Visual Media of the Year and Music Event of the Year, both for "wait in the truck" with Wilson. The Music Event award also went to Producers: Derek Wells, Joey Moi, Jordan Schmidt and the Big Loud Records label.

Wilson also won Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for "Bell Bottom Country."

An absent Morgan Wallen won Male Artist of the Year. Wallen did not attend the awards in Frisco, Texas because he is on vocal rest for six weeks due to vocal cord strain.

Brothers Osborne took home Duo of the Year, while Old Dominion was Group of the Year.

Cole Swindell won two honors - Single of the Year and Song of the Year - both for "She Had Me at Heads Carolina." Cole Swindell won as the singer as did producer Zach Crowell; Label and the Warner Music Nashville.

In the song category, Swindell won the award alng with songwriters: Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure, Mark D. Sanders, Thomas Rhett, Tim Nichols and Swindell; Publishers: Ashley Gorley Publishing Designee; Be A Light Publishing; Colden Rainey Music; EMI Blackwood Music Inc; Songs Of Roc Nation Music; Sony Tree Publishing; Telemitry Rhythm House Music; Universal Music Corp; WC Music Corp; Warner-Tamerlane Publishing Corp.

Also winning the Visual Media of the Year honor were HARDY, Wilson; Producer Inkwell Productions; and Director Justin Clough.
