Uncle Kracker has a "Reason To Drink"
Thursday, July 13, 2023 – Uncle Kracker will release the song "Reason To Drink" on July8 21, he announced today.
Uncle Kracker, aka Matthew Shafer, Blair Daly and Troy Verges wrote the song.
"'Reason To Drink' is what happened one fine pandemic morning on a Zoom write where Blair Daly, Troy Verges and myself did more drinking than writing," said Uncle Kracker. "It's absolutely perfect."
The new tune arrives on the heels of Uncle Kracker's recent nostalgic song, "Sweet 16," which marked his first new piece of music since the pandemic.
His most recent disc, "Midnight Special," came out in 2012. He has released some singles since then.
Uncle Kracker will go on a run with ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd for the "Sharp Dressed Simple Man" tour that kicks off Friday, July 21 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
