Underwood continues "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night"
The new show open – headlined by an updated rendition of "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" – features a concert performance interspersed with augmented reality highlights displayed across a halo scoreboard. Underwood, who performed the open from The Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, home of her ongoing residency, REFLECTION, also adds an undisclosed surprise new element.
"Once again, the incredible Sunday Night Football team came up with a fresh, exciting visual concept that really gave us a chance to play," said Underwood. "I loved shooting the show open again this year at our home away from home, The Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, and can't wait for another season of football."
"We're thrilled to work with Carrie to capture a new vision for this season's show open. It sets the tone for the broadcast and pays tribute to the teams, star players and fans in a fun and dynamic way," said Tripp Dixon, creative director of the SNF show open for each of the past 11 years.
Dallas visits the New York Giants in the opening Sunday night game. The matchup marks the series-high fifth time that the Cowboys and Giants have met in the opening NBC Sunday Night Football game.

However, on the traditional/modern country music spectrum, this album leans closer to traditional country music than just about anything Underwood's recorded. Underwood always sings well, no matter how her songs are arranged, but it's a true treat to hear that voice without much of the big production that usually accompanies it. ...
It makes logical sense that Carrie Underwood, arguably mainstream country music's best pure vocalist, would make a Christmas album. And make no mistake about it, this is a 'Christmas' album, as opposed to a 'holiday' release. These 11 tracks are nearly all spiritual in nature. The only truly secular track is "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," which is not – by a long ...
Carrie Underwood's life was reading straight from the storybooks: one of the few American Idol Winners with ongoing success; a professional athlete for a husband; a beautiful baby boy. The string of great fortune turned sharply in 2017, when Underwood began the unfathomable experience of three consecutive lost pregnancies. This was atop a frightening fall at her home that ended with her face in nearly 50 stitches. Sharing these moments with her fans makes the beamingly-beautiful singer ...
