Tuesday, October 10, 2023
– The official music video for "Dear Insecurity," Brandy Clark''s collaboration with Brandi Carlile, is out now.
Directed by Trey Fanjoy (Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert), the video follows several characters, including Clark, as they confront and overcome personal struggles and self-doubt.
Clark said, "I think this video brings this song to life better and bigger than I could have imagined. Trey really had an amazing vision and executed it so well. We all have insecurities, and I really feel like this video and all of the characters in it show such a great cross section of all of us."
"Dear Insecurity" is from Clark's self-titled album, which was produced Carlile and released earlier this year via Warner Records.
Clark will tour throughout the fall including her headline debut at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium later this month with special guests SistaStrings and Tattletale Saints on Oct. 25. Additional stops along the headline tour include Chicago's Thalia Hall, Seattle's Washington Hall (sold out), Portland's Aladdin Theater and Los Angeles' Troubadour (sold out).

And make no mistake about it; this music is sophisticated - sophisticated enough, in fact, to attract pop songwriter extraordinaire Randy Newman for a duet on "Bigger Boat." Surprisingly, though, much of the music contained within is also more organic than one might have ...
There are two components to Brandy Clark. First is her songwriting, which gained her much street cred, penning songs for the likes of Miranda Lambert ("Mama's Broken Heart" with Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally), The Band Perry ("Better Dig Two"), Keith Urban, Reba McEntire and a slew for Musgraves and Jennifer Nettles. And then there's her own artistic career with her major label debut finally coming close to three years after her extremely well-received (with ...
