Green, Price release new music

Friday, October 13, 2023 – Riley Green is out with "Ain't My Last Rodeo" on Big Machine Label Group. Dann Huff produced the 12-song release. Luke Combs is featured on a reprise of Green's hit "Different 'Round Here." Green, an Alabama native, also includes a cover of Tim McGraw's "Damn Country Music"

Margo Price released "Strays II" on Loma Vista, an extension of her January release, "Strays." The new release includes nine extra songs. Price recorded at "Strays" producer Jonathan Wilson's Topanga studio during the same sessions as the rest of the album.

Nicolle Galyon, better known as a songwriter, put out an EP, "second wife," on her own label, Songs & Daughters. Married to fellow hit songwriter Rodney Clawson (George Strait, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney) the surprise EP came on their 16th wedding anniversary. The six song EP emerged from a collaborative effort between Galyon and Clawson over a long weekend at their farm just outside of Nashville, and was recorded with co-producers Jimmy Robbins and King Henry at Sonic Ranch in Texas. The EP arrives 15 months after Galyon's debut, "firstborn."

Charlie Worsham, who has gained acclaim for his instrumental prowess, released "Compadres" on Warner Music Nashville. Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Elle King, Kip Moore and Lainey Wilson all help out on the five-song EP.

CD review - Hard Headed Woman Is Margo Price hard headed? Well, that's one way to describe someone who never compromises on her principles or her musical vision. Maybe "outlaw" is a nicer, not to mention more accurate, term, though, since Margo may be single-handedly keeping the original spirit of outlaw country music alive. Her sixth album is chock full of the attitude, humor and hard-won wisdom that she is famous – and sometimes controversial – for. Her commitment to the outlaw movement roots is ...
Riley Green is one of the guys that gets turned up loud whenever one of his songs comes over the radio. Most of his singles have substance and style. "Behind The Bar" is a small package, only seven songs long, but it still contains a few musical gems. In short, it's mostly a volume-cranker. One element running throughout this short set is plenty of country fiddle. Even on "Put 'Em On Mine," which otherwise rocks, there's enough fiddle to still give it a country feel. ...
CD review - That's How Rumor Gets Started Margo Price recorded "That's How Rumors Get Started" in Los Angeles, and it doesn't take long to pick up on a distinct El Lay sound driving this 10-song collection. The opener (and title track) finds Price sounding a lot like "Rumors" era Fleetwood Mac - specifically vocally echoing Stevie Nicks. Four songs in, with "Stone Me," Benmont Tench (of Tom Petty's Heartbreakers, one of Nicks' favorite bands) adds piano. "That's How Rumors Get ...
