Stapleton gets "Higher," ZBB "Covers" live
Zac Brown Band is out with "From the Road, Vol. 1: Covers," their first ever live-covers album. Released via Brown's label Home Grown Music, the album features 13 performances that span the last decade plus in international venues, joined by John Mayer, Steven Tyler, Marcus King, Darrell Scott and Mark O'Connor Band. The release includes "Sweet Emotion," their version of "Baba O'Riley" and The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" to Jimmy Buffett's "Margaritaville,"
Austin music veteran Jon Dee Graham is releasing "Only Dead For a Little While" on on New West subsidiary Strolling Bones Records. Inspired by his real life "death" after a Chicago show in 2019, Graham is a longstyanding figure in Texas punk and Americana (The Skunks and True Believers) and as a singer-songwriter whose range extends from a whisper to a howl.

There was a bit of a controversy at the recent CMAs when Chris Stapleton beat out Morgan Wallen for best male vocalist, especially after Wallen had such a huge year, commercially speaking. Yes, one can make the case that Wallen is the most popular male singer in country music these days. However, when it comes to pure singing, Stapleton is arguably the genre's most naturally talented singer. He doesn't really need any more proof of that, of course, but his "Higher" album ...
Chris Stapleton's "Starting Over" release is one of those rare beauties of an album, where your favorite track may change from day to day. All of 'em are just that great. It is, simply put, Stapleton's best full-length to date.
