Young arrested in Nashville after altercation

Tuesday, January 23, 2024 – Chris Young was arrested and charged on Monday night with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault on officer offensive contact following an altercation with Tin Roof Bar in Nashville, according to TMZ.

Young was allegedly drinking at the bar when agents from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission came in to check IDs and license cards. TMZ said Young questioned officers after doing a check of him, TMZ said.

Officials said Young started recording them and followed them to the Dawg House, a bar next door, where the agents did a compliance check, according to TMZ.

TMZ reported "The agents say they were walking to the door when Chris blocked their exit, putting his hands on one of the officers to stop the agent from leaving and striking the agent on the shoulder." The officer said he pushed Young away, and then people are the bar got involved.

The agents reported that Young's "eyes were bloodshot and watery" and he also slurred his speech.

Young posted bail on Tuesday morning of $2,500 and is due back in court on Feb 16.

CD review - Famous Friends Given the massive success of Chris Young's award-winning collaboration with Kane Brown on the title track, it would be an easy assumption to make that his eighth studio album would tow the same contemporary line that landed him a bevy of hits. CD review - Losing Sleep Chris Young has one of the best country voices, and it's always a pleasure to hear him sing. But it's disappointing when the title cut sounds more like the groove to a Justin Bieber song than anything truly country. He sounds as perfectly comfortable with the jazzy "I'll Be Home for Christmas," where its supper club vibe takes a little of the edge off one seriously sad song, as he does with the Phil Spector rock nugget "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)." Young is also helped out by a few special guests. ...
