Godwin, Grimes, Sawyer rown release CDs
The West Virginia native released his Big Loud Records debut, "Family Ties" last year. Recorded at Echo Mountain, an Asheville, N.C. studio, Godwin and his band the Allegheny High returned to Echo Mountain to reimagine eight songs from the album, stripping things down and putting a new spin on each track.
The track list is:
"All Again"
"Another Leaf"
"West Of Lonesome"
"Two Weeks Gone"
"Miner Imperfections"
"Dance In Rain"
"Willing And Able"
"The Flood"
Luke Grimes, known for acting in "Yellowstone" and "American Sniper," put out his self-titled debut on Mercury Nashville. Grimes adopts a more traditional approach to his music. Dave Cobb produced the set.
Veteran band Sawyer Brown is out with "Desperado Troubadours," which Blake Shelton produced. The group formed in 1981 in Florida and had hits with "Step That Step," "The Walk," "Thank God for You," "The Boys and Me," as well as the band's anthem: "Some Girls Do."
