Shane, Flores, Wilson mark new releases

Friday, April 19, 2024 – Elvie Shane is out with sophomore disc, "Damascus" on BBR/Wheelhouse. This is the follow-up to his 2021 disc, "Backslider," which featured the hit "My Boy." The new release is a fusion of country, rock, hip-hop and gospel.

Wyatt Flores' new EP, "Half Life," is out via Island Records. The Oklahoma native has seen his stature rise in recent months. The new project features 8 tracks including previously released songs, "Milwaukee" and "Wish I Could Stay."

Ann Wilson is best known for being a Christian artist, but she makes her country debut with "Rebel" on UMG Nashville/Capitol Christian Group. The release includes her duet with Jordan Davis, "Country Gold." Wilson also sings with Lainey Wilson on "Praying Woman" and Christian singer Chris Tomlin for "The Cross." A co-writer on each of the album's 16 tracks, Wilson teamed up with Nicolle Galyon, Emily Weisband, Matthew West and Trannie Anderson. Jeff Pardo and Jonathan Smith produced the disc.

A Glen Campbell tribute disc, "GLEN CAMPBELL DUETS - Ghost on the Canvas Sessions," is out today on Big Machine/Surf Dog. Carole King, Sting, Eric Church, Eric Clapton, Dolly Parton, Brian Wilson, Linda Perry, Daryl Hall, X, Elton John, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Chris Issak, Wendy Melvoin (Prince and the Revolution), Rick Neilsen (Cheap Trick), Steve Hunter (Lou Reed), The Dandy Warhols, Chris Chaney, Jason Faulkner Jr., Kim Bullard, Josh Freese (The Foo Fighters) and Dick Dale all help out on the project.

Miko Marks offered a deluxe version of her 2022 LP "Feel Like Going Home"\ with a reimagined version of "Lay Your Burdens Down," featuring Buddy Miller. TThe album features guest appearances from Snarky Puppy's Mark Lettieri, Oh Boy Records artist Tré Burt, Melissa Carper and the Fisk Jubilee Singers, and Marks' take on traditional roots tune "Nine Pound Hammer."

Emily Ann Roberts is out with the deluxe edition of her debut album "Can't Hide Country." The deluxe album includes three brand new songs "Working on Love", "When I'm Gone" and "Back Home."
