Andress admits she was drunk in singing Anthem, checks into rehab

Tuesday, July 16, 2024 – Ingrid Andress said today that she was checking into rehab today after performing the National Anthem drunk last night during the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby.

Andress was off-key throughout her rendition, which was widely lambasted on social meeting with some calling it the worst performance ever.

"I'm not gonna bullshit y'all, I was drunk last night," she wrote on Facebook, Instagram and X. "I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I'll let y'all know how rehab is. I hear it's super fun." She signed the missive "xo, Ingrid."

Andress had also announced she was releasing a new single, "Colorado 9," on July 24. It was unclear if that was still going to happen.

Andress is best known for the 2019 hit "More Hearts Than Mine." Andress had released two albums and has toured recently, including shows with Alanis Morissette last month. She also played at the CMA Fest in June.

Andress received support from fellow musicians.

Carly Pearce wrote on Instagram, "I'm sending you love, Ingrid. Being this open takes a lot. You've got this. Hang in there. ❤️"

Mitchell Tenpenny posted, "You are a badass and one of the most talented people I know. You got this my friend."
