Barham plans to "Shoot the Lock"
Written by Barham along with John Pierce, Lindsay Rimes and Michael Whitworth, the track tells the story of a narrator thinking about a girl he can't get off his mind, pleading with her to come over after she's had a night under the neon lights.
Barham said, "The track was inspired by people who are out during the late-night hours and are just wanting to be with that certain person that they've been craving, so they tell him to come over as fast as they can."
The Louisiana native is playing summer festivals, including his performance today at Faster Horses, as well as Country Fan Fest and Watershed.
The son of a farmer and a schoolteacher, Barham began singing in church as a little kid and taught himself to play guitar and write music by the age of 10. At 18, he went o Nashville and began penning tunes for artists in town. Barham shared his debut single "Preachers Need People" in 2022 and later released "Break It In A Bar," Two Broke Heaerts" and "Beer By My Bed."
