49 Winchester, Musgraves Adcock, Smith, Langley offer new music

Friday, August 2, 2024 – 49 Winchester released "Leavin' This Holler" today via New West Records. The 10-song set was produced by the band and Stewart Myers. This is the Virginia band's second disc for the label. The release contains 10 songs.

Louisiana country singer Gavin Adcock makes his label debut with "Actin' Up Again'." The disc from the 25-year-old Georgia native contains 16 songs.

Kacey Musgraves goes the deluxe route with "Deeper Into The Well," a follow-up to her "Deeper Well" disc. The expanded version contains seven new songs. The release, containing 21 songs overall, features collaborations with Leon Bridges on "Superbloom", as well as Tiny Habits on "Perfection," while including her most recent track, "Irish Goodbye," which was released last week

Conner Smith put out a four-song EP, "Smoky Mountains Sessions." Smith wrote two of the songs himself - "Thousand Miles Away" and "Song for Tennessee." Hailey Whitters guests on "Roulette On The Heart."

"Hungover" is the debut studio album by Alabama native Ella Langley. Langley co-wrote all 14 tracks with Will Bundy. The title track, "Paint the Town Blue", "Nicotine", and "You Look Like You Love Me" were all issued ahead of the album's release as promotional singles.[2] The latter, a duet with Riley Green, became Langley's first entry on the Billboard Hot 100

John Carter Cash released "Pilgrimage to Rising Fawn." Featuring guitarist Norman Blake, this album captures a year-long journey of music, friendship and collaboration. Recorded in the timeless home of Norman and Nancy Blake in Rising Fawn, Ga., the disc features Nancy Blake, Carlene Carter, Ana Cristina Cash, Joseph Cash, John Carter Cash, Matt Combs, John Cowan, Dennis Crouch, Jerry Douglas, Jamie Hartford, Jamey Johnson and Bill Miller.

Joe Ely has released his new album, "Driven to Drive," via Rack 'Em Records / Thirty Tigers. The release is a collection of songs inspired by Ely's travels from different eras of his career, which spans five decades. "Driven to Drive" pieces together recordings over several decades at Spur Studios, his home recording facility outside of Austin. Among the dozen songs is "Odds of the Blues," featuring Bruce Springsteen.

T. Graham Brown dropped "From Memphis to Muscle Shoals," via Warner Music Group-ADA. The album features collaborations with artists such as Bettye LaVette, Sam Moore, Delbert McClinton, Dwight Yoakam, Eddie Floyd, Little Anthony, Randy Houser, Sammy Hagar, Tanya Tucker, Wynonna and Zach Williams. The disc is an old school soul music tribute.
