David J will "Deserve You"

"'Deserve You' is the first outside song I ever cut, and I knew it would be a song that I'd want to sing every night on tour," David said. "The first thing that caught my attention when I heard it was the verse melody. I was a big Sam Hunt fan growing up, and it reminded me of his sound. I actually got to record it with one of his producers, Zach Crowell, so it was very special to get to do this one."

The new track was written by Crowell with Kyle Fishman, Josh Hoge and Conner Smith, and follows David's "Commitment Issues" EP, which was released earlier this year. Having just wrapped his headlining Commitment Issues Tour, David will join Eli Young Band at Joe's Live in Rosemont, Ill. on Sept. 27.
