Twisted Pine states "After Midnight (Nothing Good Happens)"

Friday, September 13, 2024 – Acoustic/bluegrass band Twisted Pine capture late-night festival fun with all its choices -- campfires, beer and jams - on their new single, "After Midnight (Nothing Good Happens)."

The video, shot on location at bluegrass/roots music festivals in Maine and Vermont, premieres today. The single will be out Sept. 17.

"This song is our ode to the festival experience," the band said in a press release. "It's about a universal thought process that happens every night at festivals around the world, 'Should I be trying to get some sleep right now? Or should I stay up, and pick, and see where the night takes me?' It's definitely a coin toss, and depending on how you feel you might regret the late night the next morning, but either way, it makes for a memorable night, and you look forward to what next year's fest will bring."

The band — Kathleen Parks on fiddle and lead vocals, Dan Bui on mandolin, Chris Sartori on bass, and Anh Phung on flute — will release their third LP, "Love Your Mind," on Oct. 18 on Signature Sounds. The new album straddles Americana, jazz, funk and bluegrass.

The music was co-produced by the band and longtime-collaborator Dan Cardinal at his studio Dimension Sound in Boston.
