Jelly Roll, Faith, Moore release new music

Friday, October 11, 2024 – Jelly Roll released "Beautifully Broken," a 22-song collection, which is the follow-up to his country debut, "Whitsitt Chapel." The disc features "I Am Not Okay" "Liar," ESPN's 2024 College Football Season anthem "Get By" and recently debuted track, "Winning Streak," which he first performed during his musical debut on the premiere episode of SNL's 50th Anniversary Season last Saturday. Jelly had a hand in writing every song.

"The Aftermath" is the new EP from Carter Faith via Capitol Records Nashville. The release also features four previously shared singles — "Alright," "Blue Bird" featuring Alison Krauss, "Strong Stuff" and "Late Bloomer." Faith, a North Carolina native, has toured heavily as an independent artist. She gained airplay with "Greener Pastures."

Justin Moore is out with "This Is My Dirt" on The Valory Music Co. This is the 40-year-old Arkansas native's eighth album. The 12 tracks include collaborations with Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley and Randy Houser. For the first time ever, Moore's studio project was recorded with his live touring band versus session musicians.

Madeline Merlo releases her latest project, "One House Down (From The Girl Next Door)," a six-song EP on BBR Music Group/Stoney Creek Records. Merlo co-wrote all six tracks on the EP, which was produced by Zach Crowell. The Canadian teamed up with Dustin Lynch on the duet "Broken Heart Thing."

Erin Kinsey's new EP, "Gettin' Away With It," came out via RECORDS Nashville. The project features eight tracks, seven which Kinsey co-wrote, including the featured song "Best of My 20's" featuring the LA-based trio Trousdale. She previously released two EPs.

Woody Platt, former lead singer of The Steep Canyon Rangers, steps out on his own with his debut solo disc, "Far Away With You," on Compass Records. The first single was a cover of the Blind Willie McTell classic, "Broke Down Engine," pairing Platt with his bluegrass hero Del McCoury. On the Kings of Leon's cover "Beautiful War," Darrell Scott provides tenor harmony and Weissenborn guitar. And on "Like the Rain Does", Platt reunites with long-time bluegrass pals Rob McCoury (banjo), Jason Carter (fiddle), and Buddy Melton (vocals).
