McBryde flips the switch on the Opry
Monday, October 14, 2024 – The Grand Ole Opry once again joins together with Susan G. Komen in the fight against breast cancer with the 16th Anniversary of Opry Goes Pink on Oct. 23 with Ashley McBryde flipping the switch on the Opry's barn backdrop, turning it pink for the night.
Additional performers that night include Tanya Tucker and Victoria Shaw as well and Opry members Jeannie Seely, T. Graham Brown and Jon Pardi and the Opry debut of Scott Stapp of Creed fame.

Ashley McBryde titled this six-song EP "Never Will: Live From a Distance," but just don't expect it to sound much like a typical live album. These songs were recorded live so fans could hear what they sound like live, it's true, but you won't hear any crowd cheering on it – just the music alone. With that said, though, it represents the cream of McBryde's quite productive crop.

One of Ashley McBryde's breakthrough hits was the autobiographical "Girl Goin' Nowhere," about people who had cruelly cast doubts upon her music career aspirations. Now, in an act akin to paying it forward, McBryde opens with "Hang In There Girl," which admonishes a woman to keep on fighting the good fight because - eventually - it gets better.
