Janson visits "Christmas in Dixie"
Friday, November 22, 2024 – Chris Janson is out today with the Christmas classic, "Christmas in Dixie," in a duet with Alabama.
The song was written by Alabama's Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen and originally recorded by Alabama in 1982.
"I've always loved this song, and I'm really proud of the cut. Randy and Teddy really brought it over the finish line. They're the best, and this will always be one of my favorite records of my life," Janson said.
Janson also released a music video for the track, directed by Josh Daubin. The intimate video brings the song to life with scenes of Janson and his family joined together to reflect on the blessings of the past year and celebrate the start of a new year's promise.

CD reviews for Chris Janson
Chris Janson, who has made it well known how he's skilled at fixing drinks, expectedly comes to party much of the time on "All In." Janson has plenty on his mind, and it's all included herein.
The most unusual song is "You, Me & The River," which also features its writer, Eric Church, singing along with Janson. ...
"Real Friends" is a showcase for the rubberband quality of Chris Janson's voice. He's got a Mel Tillis stammer in "Check" and a Florida Georgia Line yowl in "Normal People." "Bein' A Dad" is a quiet, sentimental song about parenthood. When Janson sings, "God, I love bein' a dad," he sounds just like Eric Church, a performer ...
