Ferrell expands "Trail of Flowers"

Friday, January 3, 2025 – Sierra Ferrell today announced the deluxe edition of "Trail of Flowers," out digitally via Rounder Records on Jan. 31.

Currently nominated for her first four GRAMMY® Awards, including Best Americana Album, Best Americana Performance ("American Dreaming"), Best American Roots Song ("American Dreaming") and Best American Roots Performance ("Lighthouse"), "Trail of Flowers" was just named 2024's number one Best Country & Americana Album by Rolling Stone.

Ferrell also won for both Artist of The Year and Album of The Year at the 2024 Americana Honors & Awards.

Along with its original 12-song tracklist, produced by Eddie Spear with additional production by Gary Paczosa, "Trail of Flowers: Deluxe Edition " features two new recordings: the classic bluegrass song "Don't Let Your Deal Go Down," and an expanded arrangement of her own "The Garden," which first appeared on the soundtrack for "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes." The song now been amplified with pedal steel, piano, percussion, strings and more. In addition to the digital release, a very limited number of physical deluxe albums are available on honeydew vinyl.

Ferrell also will be playing live. Upcoming performances include her already sold-out headline debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as The Big Ass Stadium Tour with Post Malone and Jelly Roll, with more to be announced.

CD review - Trail of Flowers (Deluxe) Sierra Ferrell is the Queen of Americana, having picked up multiple awards at their 2024 Americana awards show, but one has to question whether this Deluxe Edition of "Trail of Flowers" is really necessary. CD review - Long Time Coming Sierra Ferrell's songs will appeal to fans of Americana music, especially the more eclectic ones. Her "Long Time Coming" album incorporates plenty of different styles, so the term 'old timey' likely fits it best. For example, "At The End Of The Rainbow" – with its bluesy, woozy horn section – sounds like an early jazz era speakeasy number. With its steel guitar and fiddle, "Bells Of Every Chapel" is far more country-ish, however. ...
