Myers enjoys "Drunk Love"

Friday, January 10, 2025 – Ty Myers delivers a ballad today for those nursing a romantic hangover, "Drunk Love."

The song will be on the Austin native's debut album, "The Select" (RECORDS Nashville/Columbia) out Jan. 14. Myers, 17, self-penned a dozen songs for the release. He co-wrote two more with the remaining two penned by others.

Myers put out the video for "Can't Hold Me Down" yesterday, pairing open roads and open vistas with a behind-the-scenes look at his life on tour. Directed by John Park and Wales Toney, the American West takes center stage, as Myers captures the spirit of his bluesy, groove-laced anthem to chasing dreams. Filmed on location in Las Vegas, the clip also documents the lead up to a supporting slot for Cody Johnson at MGM Grand Garden Arena last month, as Myers crisscrossed the U.S. for a series of 2024 shows including his sold-out debut Let 'Em Talk Tour.

Myers grew up on a cattle ranch owned by his family for more than six generations. He got into the musi of artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Withers, Otis Redding, Chris Stapleton and George Strait. Devoting every waking minute to writing songs and playing music, he gave up baseball and football and opted for homeschooling in order to pursue his dream. During 2023, he debuted with "Tie That Binds" before "Drinkin' Alone" was released.
