Young "Tastes Like You"

Friday, February 7, 2025 – Brett Young is back with the song "Tastes Like You," out today via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment.

The ballad, written by Young alongside Justin Ebach, Noah Needleman and Jon Nite, delves into the emotions of a heartbroken soul struggling to move on after a breakup.

"'Tastes Like You' is about not being able to get over somebody after a breakup because they are attached to all of your favorite things," said Young. "They are in every place and every thing."

Young also is about to hit the road for his Back To Basics World Tour 2025 on Feb. 13 in Springfield, Ill. He also will play shows across the U.S., Canada, Australia, the EU and the United Kingdom.

Earlier this week, Young announced that fellow country acts Kylie Morgan and Ryan and Rory will act as support on select dates of the tour.

It's not so much that the music on Young's eight-song effort is bad; it's just so utterly unremarkable. Appreciation of Young's music rises and falls with what you think about his singing style. He sounds a little like Gary LeVox, ...
CD review - Brett Young Brett Young had a hit out of the box with "Sleep Without You," as ear candy of a song. His soulful vocals carry the percolating song that seemed designed with airplay in mind. If Young were a band, this is the type of song that Rascal Flatts might cover. In fact, the airplay bent could be said of most of the dozen songs on the Californian's major label debut after five indie releases. "Close Enough" has a funky side, trying to get the singalong going with the opening ...
