Flores, The War and Treaty, Louris release new CDs

Friday, February 14, 2025 – Wyatt Flores is out with his second release for Island, a live disc, "Live at Cain's Ballroom." Flores, a native Oklahoman, recorded the concert at the Tulsa, Okla. venue in December as part of his fall tour. The release consists of 18 songs from across his catalogue as well as a cover of Turnpike Troubadours' "Ringing In The Yea

The husband-and-wife duo of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, aka The War and Treaty, are out on Mercury Nashville with "Plus One." The disc focuses on their relationship.

Gary Louris of The Jayhawks put out his third solo album, "Dark Country." It's fitting he released the music on Valentine's Da because the music was both inspired by and dedicated to his wife Stephanie, who also appears on the cover. Louris built the disc around his guitar and piano, with assistance from a few friends including pedal steel/guitar from occasional Jayhawk Stephen McCarthy (The Long Ryders) and a string arrangement by Eleanor Whitmore of The Mastersons, as well as mixing by Paul Kolderie.
