Paisley teams up with Dawes
Friday, March 7, 2025 – Brad Paisley and the band Dawes released the song "Raining Inside" today.
Paisley wrote the song with Taylor Goldsmith, lead singer of Dawes, and Lee Thomas Miller, in 2024. It was initially recorded with just Paisley's vocals but was inspired into a collaboration after the Grammy performance with Taylor and his brother Griffin, who also in Dawes, on Randy Newman's "I Love L.A." with an all-star band that included Paisley Sheryl Crow, Brittany Howard, John Legend and St. Vincent.
Paisley and Dawes are live streaming today on Instagram beginning at 4:30 p.m. eastern @BradPaisley @Dawestheband.

But don't let this album's optimistic moniker lull you into the impression it's somehow filled with happy songs. No, it's a career overview of this act's sunny Southern California grooves, which support dark reflections on our contemporary complicated lives.

Brad Paisley isn't content to keep doing the same old. In fact, this is probably the least traditional country outing in his career. Yet, a few things remain intact - great guitar playing and singing and a sense of humor without being too kitschy.
In fact, Paisley manages to combine the ultra serious with his typical sense of humor. The seriousness is never more apparent from Paisley than on the controversial Accidental Racist with LL Cool J, who helped write and perform it. ...
