The Castellows welcome their "Homecoming"

Wednesday, April 30, 2025 – While on stage at their debut Stagecoach appearance this past weekend, neo-traditional country music sister trio, The Castellows, announced their seven-track "Homecoming EP," arriving May 30.

The band also revealed they'll be hitting the road this fall for their headline The Homecoming Tour. Kicking off in Austin on Sept. 13, the cross-country tour will hit 15 cities, with more dates to be announced soon.

The band said in a statement, "'Homecoming' encompasses the way we've been feeling for the last year. A lot of these songs are very personal to us and share our convictions about the world. We take our listeners on a bit of a journey through these songs, and our hope is that they'll get to know us better after listening."

"One way to sum up the EP is through our favorite lyric on the whole project. It's from the chorus of 'Freeway': 'You don't know what you're feeling until you hear it in a song.'"

On Friday, The Castellows released "Sheltered" off the forthcoming project. The autobiographical tune unveils the unique life experiences they saw being homeschooled and growing up on a farm in Georgia.

"Sometimes you hear people saying somewhat negative things about homeschoolers, so we thought it'd be very fitting to play on that language with 'Sheltered,'" the trio said in a press release. "We really love that we were homeschooled, and we really see the value in how we grew up. It's because of that that we were able to focus on music. Being homeschooled is kind of the reason why we are the way we are today, and we thought it deserved a song."

The songs on the EP are:
1. Old Way (Ellie Balkcom, Powell Balkcom, Casey Beathard, and Jimi Bell)
2. Sheltered (Eleanor Balkcom, Lily Balkcom, Powell Balkcom and Daniel Tashian)
3. You Don't Even Know Who I Am (Gretchen Peters)
4. Place They Call Home (Featuring Flatland Cavalry) (Ellie Balkcom, Lily Balkcom, Powell Balkcom, Cleto Cordero)
5. Freeway (Ellie Balkcom, Powell Balkcom, Lily Balkcom, and Matt Jenkins)
6. Broke (Ellie Balkcom, Powell Balkcom, Lily Balkcom, Erik Dylan)
7. Homecoming (Ellie Balkcom, Powell Balkcom, Lily Balkcom, Colby Acuff)

Earlier this year, The Castellows released their take on Patty Loveless's "You Don't Even Know Who I Am" and their collaboration with Flatland Cavalry, "Place They Call Home."

The Castellows will spend the summer on the road with Thomas Rhett for his Better in Boots Tour.

The band wrote/co-wrote all songs that comprise both projects.

The Castellows hit the road last fall with Little Big Town and Sugarland on the Take Me Home Tour. They will join Thomas Rhett on his Better In Boots Tour including a stop at Boston's Fenway Park on July 19.
