ACM honors Urban with Triple Crown Award
Monday, May 5, 2025 – Keith Urban will be honored with the ACM Triple Crown Award and honored with performances of his songs by fellow artists at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday, it was announced today.
Hosted by Reba McEntire, the 60th ACM Awards will stream live exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch on Thursday at 8 p.m. eastern from Frisco, Texas.
Chris Stapleton, Megan Moroney and Brothers Osborne will cover Urban songs. The ACM Triple Crown Award is a special recognition presented to artists who have won three distinct, prestigious awards, including New Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. Urban achieved this honor by winning Top New Male Vocalist in 2001, Male Vocalist of the Year in 2005 and 2006, and Entertainer of the Year in 2019, and he is the first artist to receive this honor on the ACM Awards since Carrie Underwood in 2010 at the 45th ACM Awards.

Keith Urban's "flow state" is the perfect album to start the summer. The 11-track album contains mainly yacht rock covers that are perfect to listen to while on the beach or out at sea, with covers like "How Much I Feel," by Ambrosia, and "Just The Two Of Us," by Bill Withers and Grover Washington, Jr., entering the mix.
"flow state" is different, incorporating a new wave of instrumentals that add a uniqueness to each track alongside Urban's vocals. ...
Following hits "Straight Line," "Wildside" and "Go Home W U" featuring Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban drops thematically driven and pleasantly electrifying album "High," a nearly four-year drop since 2020's "The Speed of Now Part 1."
Urban took great interest in feelings and experiences associated with the word "high," reflecting on his own passions approaching the sensation or "place of utopia" as Urban dubs it . ...
It's getting tougher and tougher all the time to justify categorizing Keith Urban's music as country. "The Speed of Now, Pt. 1" doesn't help. (What, is there a pt. 2 of this largely lame music on the way? Say it ain't so!) It's a relatively good pop album, for a Nashville pop effort, but there's just too much real country (Jon Pardi, Luke Combs) getting played on mainstream radio these days. The world just doesn't really need new Urban pop music. ...
