Carolina Rain records second disc

Friday, March 14, 2008 – Carolina Rain is currently in the studio with producer Justin Niebank, working on the follow-up to their debut, the Equity Music Group CD release, "Weather the Storm." The first single from the new CD is expected this spring.

The trio received an Academy of Country Music earlier this month for best new group or duo.

CD review - Weather the Storm Carolina Rain is a trio consisting of vocalists Jeremy Baxter (who also plays mandolin), Rhean Boyer (guitar) and Marvin Evatt (guitar and banjo), who released their debut on Clint Black's label. However, the label seems to have a lot of trust in this rookie band, as 11 of the 12 tracks were written or co-written by Boyer, and the band co-produced the CD with Black.
