Godwin delivers HomeTown Sessions
The series includes reworked versions of live show staples.
Teaming up with his longtime band, The Allegheny High, Godwin collaborated with director Justin Clough, who shot the performances at The Metropolitan Theater in Godwin's hometown of Morgantown, West Va. "It's one of my favorite venues in my hometown," Godwin said. "We chose some of our favorite songs to perform live and even reworked a few. Can't wait for y'all to see these."
The Hometown Sessions span Godwin's career and feature songs such as "All Again" from his breakout album "Family Ties," tracks from his most recent EP, "Lonely Mountain Town," including the title track and "It's The Little Things," as well as songs from his debut, "Seneca" – "Hardwood Floors," "Seneca Creek," "Strawberry Queen" – and more.

If "Live From the Steel City" is indicative of a typical Charles Wesley Godwin concert, then it's safe to say you get your money's worth at such an event. Clocking in at just under two hours, Godwin somehow manages to keep the band's energy and the audience's enthusiasm up the entire time. The in-between songs patter about how great the Pittsburgh pro football team is obvious pandering because any objective football fan knows the Steelers are mediocre at best. ...
