Godwin goes lives, releases three songs

Friday, September 12, 2025 – Charles Wesley Godwin will go live with "Live From The Steel City" on Sept. 26 on Big Loud.

The 23-song record, cut one year ago in Pittsburgh, will be preceded by a three-song sampler today of "Cue Country Roads," "Family Ties" and "Hardwood Floors."

"I'm so pumped to share the live show the boys and I have curated in bars, clubs, theaters, amphitheaters, arenas and stadiums over the last several years," Godwin said. "There's just something about the energy of a live crowd that you can't replicate in a studio, and I think that shines through on this album in a big way. Stage AE was a special place to be on Sept. 14, 2024, and come Sept. 26, 2025, everyone can experience it with us. Let's go."

"Live From The Steel City" will feature songs from his most recent studio album "Family Ties" (2023), like "All Again," "Another Leaf" and "Miner Imperfections;" tracks from 2021's "How The Mighty Fall" ("Jesse," "Temporary Town," "Strong") and "Seneca" (2019) including "Hardwood Floors" and "Seneca Creek." CD reviews for Charles Wesley Godwin

CD review - Live From The Steel City If "Live From the Steel City" is indicative of a typical Charles Wesley Godwin concert, then it's safe to say you get your money's worth at such an event. Clocking in at just under two hours, Godwin somehow manages to keep the band's energy and the audience's enthusiasm up the entire time. The in-between songs patter about how great the Pittsburgh pro football team is obvious pandering because any objective football fan knows the Steelers are mediocre at best. ...
