Strings extends tour into winter
Tickets will be available for pre-sale starting tomorrow at 10 a.m. local time with general on-sale following on Friday at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for the Ryman Auditorium show will be available via lottery. To be eligible for the Fair AXS ticketing request, fans are required to purchase a ticket for at least one of the two Bridgestone Arena shows.
The new tour dates are:
Feb. 6-7 — Athens, GA—Akins Ford Arena
Feb. 10, 11, 13,14 — Asheville, NC—ExploreAsheville.com Arena
Feb. 20-22—Nashville, TN—Ryman Auditorium
Strings is currently on the road with Bryan Sutton for a series of sold-out shows and will continue to perform headline dates this fall including upcoming stops at Baltimore's CFG Bank Arena (two nights), Huntsville,, Ala.'s Orion Amphitheater (three nights), Louisville, Ky.'s KFC Yum! Center (two nights) and Pittsburgh's PPG Paints Arena (two nights).

CD reviews for Billy Strings
Never a judicious editor, Billy Strings' latest is 74 minutes of mind-expanding 'grassicana. The thing is, while it runs a bit long one is at a loss as to what could or should have been held in reserve; even the most frivolous numbers — "MORBUD4ME," "Richard Petty" and "Catch and Release," perhaps — add humor and context to the recording. "Highway Prayers" is a powerful set of music, covering the bluegrass and rootsicana bases. ...
It's just like Billy Strings to have a song title that reads like a heavy metal track ("Hellbender") for a tune that sounds like traditional bluegrass music. When it comes to creating music, though, the phrase, 'It's all good,' actually applies to Strings – for once. "Renewal" is over an hour of music, and is (mostly) bluegrass – at heart – but not just bluegrass music.
