Kellie Pickler debuts new single

Thursday, May 8, 2008 – Kellie Pickler will debut her new single, "Don't You Know You're Beautiful," on the ACM Awards on Sunday, May 18. The ACM Top New Female nominee and three-time CMT Award winner said, "I'm so excited to be performing on the show and doubly so, to be debuting the new single. It's such a great song, with a positive message, and it's different than any other song I've recorded before," said Pickler.

Written by Aimee Mayo, Chris Lindsey and Karen Rochelle, "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" is the first single from her sophomore album, which will be released later this year. The single will be available to radio in June.

Pickler's "Small Town Girl" CD yielded the hits "I Wonder" and "Red High Heels."

Past winners are without record contracts, and, among the ranks of former sixth place finishers, Kellie Pickler (aka "Pickles") has gone from waitressing to amassing a handful of pop-country hits at only 22 years old. On her second effort, Pickler spreads her wings beyond vocals to songwriting half the 10 songs. Things kick off with the mighty message song, ...
