New artist Christian Kane gambles for charity

Monday, May 12, 2008 – Country newcomer Christian Kane will gamble for charity by hosting the Music Row Open Charity Poker Tournament on May 17 in Las Vegas as part of the events surrounding the Academy of Country Music awards next Sunday. Joining Kane will be Jay Frank, CMT; Eric Griffin, Brand X Management; Ben Vaughn, EMI Music Publishing; Brian Carter, Pixel Muzik, and Rusty Gaston, This Music. A portion of the event's winnings will benefit the Nashville Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The format is Texas Hold-em style. The first place winner could take home up to $2,700 cash. Only 30 playing spots are available. For reservations, contact Eric Griffin at 615.349.1169 or by email at 2008MusicRowOpen@gmail.com.

"While what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, the fight against breast cancer is world wide," said Kane. "It's great to be playing with my friends from the music community. They might practice a good bluff; but they can't hide that they are 'all in' for the cure."

Kane is currently in the studio recording for his debut album. He will visit radio to promote his upcoming single, "More Than I Deserve," after the ACMs.
