Shania Twain, Robert "Mutt" Lange split
Thursday, May 15, 2008 – Shania Twain and her producer/husband Robert "Mutt" Lange announced Thursday they are separating after 14 years of marriage.
The two wrote songs together, such as "Still the One," and Lange was a key player in her success because he produced her music.
"Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage," Universal Records spokesperson Jason Owen said. "This is a private matter, and there will be no further comment at this time."
Twain, 42, met Lange, 59, when he worked on her album in the early 1990s. They married on Dec. 28, 1993 and have a 6-year-old son, Eja D'Angelo.
