Taylor Swift reaches milestones

Monday, June 23, 2008 – Taylor Swift surpassed 50 million music streams on MySpace, where she is consistently ranked country's number one artist, according to her publicist. Swift averages more than 5 million MySpace streams each month.

Swift was awarded the highest gold and platinum certification of any artist in any genre in the month of May. Swift received three times Multi-Platinum honor to commemorate sales exceeding 3 million since its 2006 release. Additionally, Swift gained Gold Mastertone certification for filling more than 500,000 phones with her hit single "Our Song." Swift was awarded two Digital Platinum certifications (1 million downloads) and two Digital Gold certifications (500,000 downloads). P>Swift's self-titled debut CD, released on Big Machine Records 86 weeks ago, is spending its 20th week at number 1 atop Billboard's Country CD Sales chart. The only other country artists this decade to hold the number 1 sales position for 20 weeks or more are the Dixie Chicks and Carrie Underwood.
