Ricky Skaggs offers new CD
Tuesday, July 1, 2008 – On a holiday week, there is only one new CD out this week, but it's something a little different. Ricky Skaggs releases "The High Notes" on Cracker Barrel, the restaurant chain that has released occasional country and bluegrass CDs. Here, Skaggs recut his country hits bluegrass style. the dozen songs includes nine that went to the top of the charts, including "Heartbroke," "Uncle Pen" and "Highway 40 Blues." Skaggs started his career in bluegrass, before doing country and returning to his roots.
