Tim McGraw's Swampstock returns
Tuesday, September 12, 2006 – Tim McGraw will return home to northeast Louisiana to host his 11th Celebrity Concert and Softball Challenge Swampstock 2006 on Oct. 7 in Rayville, La.
Confirmed to appear with McGraw are wife Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Hot Apple Pie, Lori McKenna, Redneck Rockstars and Catherine Raney.
McGraw and Hill are presenting the event through their Neighbors Keeper Foundation and is sponsored locally by Coca-Cola. Net proceeds from the activities will benefit Neighbors Keeper Foundations local initiatives.
The event includes a softball game and concert.
Swampstock began in 1994 as a way for McGraw to give back to his hometown community. As a child, he played baseball and knows the importance of having a positive experience on the field. That is why McGraw has chosen to direct part of the funds from Swampstock to Rayville Youth Baseball.
