Krauss, Harris, Jones contribute to Shel Silverstein tribute
Thursday, November 13, 2008 – A tribute to Shel Silverstein is in the works with Alison Krauss, George Jones, Ray Price and Emmylou Harris among those aboard. Bobby Bare Jr. and Sr. are executive producing the effort.
The disc is slated to be released Sugar Hill/Vanguard in mid 2009. Slated to contribute are Black Keys, Band of Horses, Dr. Dog, Andrew Bird, Kris Kristofferson (backed by members of the Silver Jews) and My Morning Jacket.
