Whitney Duncan goes digital
Thursday, December 11, 2008 – Whitney Duncan is going the digital route for her first release on Warner. With an album delayed from January 2009 until sometime later next year, "Whitney Duncan: Selections From Right Road Now" will go digital Dec. 23.
The EP will include four tracks from her upcoming debut CD, "Right Road Now" and one bonus track. The EP will feature the singles When I Said I Would and Bed That You Made. All tracks were co-written by Duncan and produced by Mark Bright and John Shanks. Other songs are Little By Little, So Sorry Mama and Away.
Duncan helped write all songs on the upcoming CD. Duncan recently released her own version of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas on iTunes. The song attracted about 4,000 downloads last week.

CD reviews for Whitney Duncan
It was a long road for this album to come out, with the first single issued almost two years ago. That song, When I Said I Would, is here, as is the second single, the naughty-but-nifty tune Skinny Dipping. Given the extended gestation of these tunes it may come as a surprise that the majority of the disc sounds fresh and current; or it may be an indictment of the stagnant mainstream country scene that three-year-old songs sound like they were cut this week.
