Haggard receives honor
Wednesday, March 4, 2009 – Merle Haggard received the Career Achievement Award Tuesday from the Country Radio Broadcasters at their annual get together.
Jack Ingram performed Are the Good Times Really Over and Emmylou Harris performed Kern River prior to Haggard's reception of the Career Achievement Award.
Chuck Collier of WGAR in Cincinnati and Gerry House of WSIX were inducted into the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame, and Bob McKay and Moon Mullins were selected as this year's Country Music Radio Hall of Fame inductees. Shelia Shipley Biddy, who has worked at labels and management, was presented with the President's Award.
