Hill waits all day for Sunday night again

Tuesday, August 25, 2009 – Faith Hill will do the opening theme honors for NBC Sunday Night Football, Waiting All Day for Sunday Night. Hill's effort debuts this season on Sunday, Sept. 13, the first Sunday Night Football broadcast of 2009 featuring the oldest rivalry in the NFL as the Green Bay Packers host the Chicago Bears in the debut of new Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. The opening theme will continue weekly, kicking off Sunday Night Football throughout the NFL season on NBC.

"It really is an honor to be asked back to do the Sunday Night Football open again," said Hill. "It's been fun to film and everyone at NBC has made me feel like a part of their family. I'm looking forward to the season."

Waiting All Day for Sunday Night is set to the original Joan Jett song, Hill recorded the track with her longtime producer Byron Gallimore at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. The video was shot at Universal Studios Orlando.
