Shania Twain gets real

Thursday, April 8, 2010 – Will Shania Twain follow the Osbournes? Well, if it means having your own reality TV show, then yes.

Twain, 44, will star on "Why Not? With Shania Twain," an hour-long series premiering on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. No date was announced when the show will premier. Twain also has reportedly been working on a new CD, but there was no word on when that might be out.

"The show will follow (Twain) as she begins her climb back to the top, a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures," said a statement from the network. Twain has not had a CD of new music since "Up!" in 2002.

Since then, Twain's marriage to producer Robert "Mutt" Lange crashed in May 2008 due to his relationship with employee Marie-Anne Thiebaud.
