Disney chops roster - Buxton gone, Covington stays

Thursday, April 15, 2010 – Sarah Buxton may have only released her debut disc in February, but she is now gone from the Disney Music Group along with Love and Theft and the Parks in the wake of the announcement Wednesday Lyric Street Records, a Disney subsidiary, would shut.

Rascal Flatts, of course, will stay with Disney, which is also keeping Bucky Covington, Texas artist Kevin Fowler and teenage artist Tyler Dickerson.

In a statement released by Rascal Flatts, the trio said, "Although we are saddened for the people at Lyric Street whom we have worked so closely with over the last 10 years, we are still very much excited about the new album we are currently making and bringing that new music to our fans."
