Chesney teams with Hooters

Sunday, May 2, 2010 – Kenny Chesney's No Shoes Radio teamed with Hooters to launch a national sweepstakes across the restaurant chain's 380 domestic locations for Chesney's July 2 show at the Joint at the Vegas Hard Rock.

The contest includes a text-to-win component where fans text "Kenny" to 36832 to register for an airfare, hotel and pair of tickets/meet & greet passes "Since I'm not coming to the fans, this is one more way we can being the fans to me," said Chesney. "Fans can also enter by listening to No Shoes Radio and logging in with their Passport Club information once a day... But the whole point is getting a very special pair of super fans to Vegas."

The contest ends June 13th, but to celebrate fans can pick up a free four-song Chesney compilation - exclusively produced for Hooters/No Shoes Radio - at select locations. Hooters has been a sponsor of NSR since its launch last August, hosting remotes along the Sun City Carnival Tour and bringing listeners the "Hooters Happy Hour" on the station located at www.noshoesreadio.com. Hooters continues it investment in the cyber-radio station by broadcasting remotes from Las Vegas, Baton Rouge and Nashville among other locations during this promotion and will provide more chances to win concert tickets and other prizes.

"Our Partnership with No Shoes Radio has been amazing thus far and we are excited to provide this unique sweepstakes opportunity to our Hooters guests," said Noela Scarano, Director of Marketing for Hooters of America. "Given Kenny's limited performance scheduled this summer, this trip is a chance of a lifetime for any fan. In addition to the grand prize, many fans will get the chance to party with No Shoes Radio right in our restaurants."

The first weekend of Chesney's four-night stand at the Joint sold out with a handful of tickets to the July 2-3 shows remaining.

"The beauty of No Shoes Radio is that it puts my music, not just as its recorded, but as we play it and as we hear it, not to mention everything else me and the guys listen to on the road and when we're gone, straight in the hands of the fans. I love that Hooters is helping my guys bring a couple fans to Vegas to share in what will no doubt be a crazy night of music."

CD review - Here and Now deluxe After a storied run including eight Entertainer of the Year awards and two Greatest Hits albums (so far), Kenny Chesney was due for a setback. This one wasn't strictly personal, as the "Chillaxification" Tour got waylaid by a pandemic shutdown that scrapped most everything. The loss really belonged to the fans, as the original "Here and Now" record Chesney was supporting was a beauty – from the stirring "Knowing You" to the snarky "Wasted", ...
CD review - Here and Now For many years now, Kenny Chesney has been the number one yacht country artist; one never spotted far from an ocean or without an adult beverage in his hand. However, this album's title track expresses a much deeper perspective on life. "I must've sat on a dozen islands/Watched the sun sink into the sea." Previously, island living was the reason for life. Now, life's purpose is described as much more internal than external. Call it trading that pirate flag for a little more mindfulness. ...
CD review - Songs for the Saints Kenny Chesney's "Song for the Saints" is a step in the right direction for the popular country star. Inspired by the Hurricane Irma disaster, which hit Chesney personally as it destroyed a house he owned in the U.S. Virgin Islands, these songs are more serious and heartfelt than typical Chesney music. Best of all is "Love for Love City," a reggae duet with Ziggy Marley incorporating steel drums into an inviting island mix. It's followed by a cover of Lord ...
