Keith Urban is In

Monday, May 3, 2010I'm In, the fifth single from Keith Urban's "Defying Gravity" CD, is set to be released next week. The song, written by Radney Foster, follows Urban's 22nd top 5 hit, 'Til Summer Comes Around.

That was his second top five from the song (Kiss A Girl). He had two number ones with Sweet Thing and Only You Could Love Me This Way.

\"Radney recorded an album called 'See What You Want to See' that I heard and loved when I was recording 'Golden Road'," said Urban. "It's full of great songs. I'm In is on that album, as is Raining On Sunday, which I cut, Godspeed (Sweet Dreams) that the Dixie Chicks cut, and The Lucky Ones that Pat Green did. I said to Radney that my goal is to eventually cover every song on that album."

In celebration of the song's release, starting on Sunday, May 10, Urban will be asking people to submit their favorite I'm In story to Urban's web site. Stories, topics for which can include 'how you've made a commitment to a significant other' or 'how you've dedicated yourself to a charity' or 'how you've made a difference in someone's life or 'however they would define being "in", are to be no more than 350 characters and can include a photo or video clip that illustrates how you're "in". Stories will be randomly posted at keithurban.net weekly and those chosen will afford their authors the chance to win free Keith Urban music, concert tickets and/or signed guitar.

CD reviews for Keith Urban

CD review - High Following hits "Straight Line," "Wildside" and "Go Home W U" featuring Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban drops thematically driven and pleasantly electrifying album "High," a nearly four-year drop since 2020's "The Speed of Now Part 1." Urban took great interest in feelings and experiences associated with the word "high," reflecting on his own passions approaching the sensation or "place of utopia" as Urban dubs it . ...
CD review - THE SPEED OF NOW Part 1 It's getting tougher and tougher all the time to justify categorizing Keith Urban's music as country. "The Speed of Now, Pt. 1" doesn't help. (What, is there a pt. 2 of this largely lame music on the way? Say it ain't so!) It's a relatively good pop album, for a Nashville pop effort, but there's just too much real country (Jon Pardi, Luke Combs) getting played on mainstream radio these days. The world just doesn't really need new Urban pop music. ...
CD review - Graffiti U It's telling how two songs on Keith Urban's "Graffiti U" album chug along to a reggae beat because pop rhythms and non-country elements are the obvious inspirations for this collection. Opener "Coming Home" may borrow (steal?) a guitar riff from Merle Haggard's "Mama Tried," but this is where that country road begins and ends. Urban follows "Coming Home" with "Never Comin' Down," which is introduced with a funky bass line ...
