Country Music Hall of Fame remains closed Thursday
Thursday, May 6, 2010 – The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum remained closed Thursday due to the flooding in Nashville, but looks to reopen by the weekend.
A recording on the hall's phone said it was closed.
Spokesperson Jeremy Rush said via email, "Still just waiting to get power restored downtown. Once that happens, we are good to go."
On the web site, Director Kyle Young said, "We expect power to be restored by Saturday, May 8, at the latest, and as soon as the lights come back on, our staff stands ready to welcome visitors back to the museum."
Brad Paisley said he would be on Anderson Cooper 360 tonight "to help raise awareness about the flood disaster." Tim McGraw and Faith Hill also will be on the show.
Vince Gill, Keith Urban and others will be on a telethon as well to raise money for the relief effort.
