Hank III readies new CD

Friday, May 21, 2010 – Hank Williams III is ready to roll with a new disc, "Rebel Within," on May 25 (Sidewalk Records).

Among the song titles are Getting' Drunk And Fallin' Down, Rebel Within, Tore Up And Loud and Drinkin' Over Mama. Music from the new album will be heard on the June 13 episode of HBO's hit series "True Blood."

Williams wrote 10 of the 11 original tracks, did the vocals, played drums and the acoustic rhythm guitar parts. And he recorded and produced the album at his home studio. "I don't like being told what to do, and I don't need to be told what my record should sound like," he said. "I got that covered."

The 12-city Crazed Canada Tour launches Friday, June 4 in Toronto and continues through the end of the month. This event will be "an evening with" with no opener.
