Lambert, Lady A post number ones yet again

Thursday, June 24, 2010 – Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum led the Billboard country songs and album charts respectively for the week ending July 3 with The House That Built Me and "Need You Now." This is Lambert's fourth week at the top.

Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley stayed second and third on the songs chart with Crazy Town and Water respectively. Luke Bryan was up one to fourth with Rain Is a Good Thing, switching spots with George Strait's She Won't Be Lonely Long. Zac Brown Band had the only new song in the top 10 as Free moved from 12 to 10.

Lady A's new single, Our Kind of Love, jumped from 21 to 17. Bucky Covington's A Father's Love (The Only Way He Knew How) moved from 26 to 23.

On the album chart, ZBB was second with "The Foundation" up two to fourth. Dierks Bentley was at third, down one, with "Up on the Ridge." Lambert's "Revolution" was at number four, up two, while Carrie Underwood's "Play On' was up two to fifth. ZBB was also ninth with "Pass the Jar: Live from the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta" up from 12th.

The NOW series of compilations debuted at 12 with "NOW That's What I Call the USA." Kenny Chesney's "Greatest Hits II" was up 3 to 19. Alan Jackson jumped from 31 to 21 with "Freight Train." Tim McGraw came in at 25, up 4, with "Southern Voice." Johnny Cash jumped from 44 to 38 with "American VI: Ain't No Grave."

On the overall top 200, Lady A was 8th, ZBB 12th, Bentley 20th, Lambert 21st and Underwood 23rd.

Either Hillary Scott or long and lanky Charles Kelley assumes lead vocals with Dave Haywood also providing vocals plus guitars and mandolin in a bunch of songs easy on the ears with a story often involving a lust for love.
