Gill sets Xmas tour with Grant

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 – Amy Grant and Vince Gill will embark on their fifth Christmas tour in December. The Twelve Days of Christmas Tour kicks off Dec. 8 in Sarasota, Fla. and wraps with two shows in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium.

"Christmas audiences are special," said Grant. "They tend to involve the whole family, and their emotions are a wonderful mix of anticipation and reverence. It's a thrilling experience for both of us."

"These holiday tours have become our favorites," Gill said.

In their two-hour program, the husband-and-wife team will present cherished standards and newer seasonal fare as well as some of their biggest hits.

Fortunately, Vince Gill is about as prolific as they come these days, and this daring four-disc release only is further proof of that. Each disc is divvied up depending on his mood, with the opening "Working On A Big Chill" album being "The Rockin' Record."
