Gill reaches the Crossroads

Friday, July 23, 2010 – Vince Gill will be in the movies, thanks to Eric Clapton. On July 27, in 475 theaters, the film version of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 will debut. Performances from Clapton, Jeff Beck, Z.Z. Top, John Mayer, B.B. King, Sheryl Crow and Bill Murray will be featured.

The special 2-hour event will be shown in HD beginning at 7:30 p.m. local time across all time zones and will feature historic musical performances from the day-long Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 which took place in Chicago's Toyota Park on June 26. All 27,000 tickets to this year's Chicago Festival sold out in minutes.

Theater audiences will gain exclusive backstage VIP access to behind-the-scenes footage and candid interviews with the performers, including an introduction by Clapton himself.

CD review - These Days To put this release into perspective, it would take Axl Rose the better half of a century to issue the same amount of material. Fortunately, Vince Gill is about as prolific as they come these days, and this daring four-disc release only is further proof of that. Each disc is divvied up depending on his mood, with the opening "Working On A Big Chill" album being "The Rockin' Record."
