Lady A doubles on the chart

Thursday, September 16, 2010 – Lady Antebellum scored another number 1 song from "Need You Now" as Our Kind of Love jumped to the top of the Billboard Country Songs chart for the week ending Sept. 25. Lady A switched spots with Pretty Good at Drinkin' Beer by Billy Currington, which fell to second. The trio previously enjoyed hits with the title track of their second CD and American Honey. They also held onto the top spot of the albums chart.

Kenny Chesney moved from fifth to third with The Boys of Fall. Blake Shelton remained fourth with All About Tonight. Josh Turner moved from eighth to fifth with All Over Me. Easton Corbin was up three to sixth with Roll With It. Darius Rucker broke into the top 10 with the first single from his upcoming CD, Come Back Song, at 9, up 2.

Zac Brown Band moved from 19 to 16 with As She's Walking Away, which features Alan Jackson. Brad Paisley stood at 18, up 3, with Anything Like Me. Carrie Underwood jumped 5 places to 26 with Mama's Song. Luke Bryan also climbed 5 places to 28 with Someone Else Calling You Baby.

Zac Brown Band was second on the album chart with "The Foundation," 95 weeks after its release. Miranda Lambert was up three to third with "Revolution." Little Big Town remained fourth with "The Reason Why," while Trace Adkins stayed fifth with "Cowboy's Back in Town." Brad Paisley was up third to ninth with "American Saturday Night."

Rodney Atkins debuted at 11th with a self-titled disc out on Cracker Barrel. Eric Church rose from 21 to 18 with "Carolina." "Hannah Montana: The Movie" was up 3 to 27, while Atkins' "It's America" jumped 6 to 28. Lee Brice's "Love Like Crazy" went from 38 to 33.

On the bluegrass chart, Dierks Bentley held sway again with "Up on the Ridge." The SteelDrivers debuted in second with "Reckless."

Lady Antebellum was 12th on the overall Billboard Top 200 chart. Zac Brown Band was 22nd, Lambert 25th, Little Big Town 26th and Adkins 31st.

CD review - 747 Six albums into its career, Lady Antebellum pretty much has the formula down pat. Either Hillary Scott or long and lanky Charles Kelley assumes lead vocals with Dave Haywood also providing vocals plus guitars and mandolin in a bunch of songs easy on the ears with a story often involving a lust for love.
