Underwood video debuts Friday

Tuesday, September 21, 2010 – The music video for Carrie Underwood's Mama's Song, her co-penned single written for her mother, will make its debut with a 48-hour exclusive world premiere beginning Friday, Sept. 24, on VEVO.

Fans can also visit People.com now to see behind-the-scenes video photos, as well as comments from Underwood about the song. The video will appear on Vevo.com, VEVO Mobile, VEVO on YouTube and destinations where VEVO powers music video, such as AOL and CBS Interactive Music Group's sites.

Award-winning director Shaun Silva filmed the video, which features Underwood's mother Carole, last month in downtown Nashville. Mama's Song is Underwood's fourth single off current album, "Play On," and one of seven tracks co-written by Underwood.

Underwood's Play On Tour kicks off its fall leg this Saturday in Portland, Ore. at the Rose Garden Arena. The tour will play 47 cities before wrapping Dec. 19 in Calgary, Canada. By the close of this leg, Underwood will have performed more than 100 dates.

The string of great fortune turned sharply in 2017, when Underwood began the unfathomable experience of three consecutive lost pregnancies. This was atop a frightening fall at her home that ended with her face in nearly 50 stitches. Sharing these moments with her fans makes the beamingly-beautiful singer ...
